How it works

When you follow an affiliate link, a cookie is placed in your browser by the software company or the affiliate network running their program. If you subscribe within that cookie's window, the sale is credited here and a percentage is paid out.

Affiliate links are routed through this site's own /go/ addresses so that partner links can be kept current in one place. They carryrel="sponsored" in the page source, and every article containing them shows a disclosure above the article body.

Recurring commissions, and why that matters to you

Most software programs here pay recurring commissions — a share of your subscription for as long as you stay subscribed, rather than a one-time bounty.

This is worth understanding because it shapes the incentives. A one-time payout rewards getting you to sign up for anything. A recurring payout only works if you keep using the tool, which means recommending software that does not fit you costs me money rather than making it. It is not a guarantee of good faith, but it is the structure this site runs on, and you should know it.

Networks and partners

This site participates in programs operated through PartnerStack, impact.com, Rewardful, and FirstPromoter, as well as programs run directly by the software companies. Current partners include video editing, AI video, recording, voice, writing, and workflow tools. This list changes as programs open and close.

What it does not affect

Commission rates vary a lot between companies — some pay nothing, some pay a majority of the first year. That difference does not decide what gets recommended here, and no company has been paid for a review or a ranking position. Where the best tool for a job has no affiliate program, it is still recommended and linked directly. Where a tool is worse than doing the work manually, that is stated.
